Shipping costs are a valid frustration, but they’re not the real longterm risk

The real issue is that NFTs still havent evolved into meaningful ownership with compounding value over time.

the next phase needs to move beyond hype and merch, and focus on sustainable value loops,revenue participation, ecosystem alignment, and models that reward longterm conviction.

if any project can responsibly lead this shift and set a blueprint for the space, @pudgypenguins is in the strongest position to do so

but yeah NFTs def need a revamp from the project side. holders still dont really know what the real perk is.

You forgot @moonit too. they literally vanished a week after launch. feels like everything they launch or pivot into gets abandoned fast. then Ray & Char act like nothing happened, tweeting about how “successful” they are and how much they’ve “contributed” to bringing people into web3. meanwhile they’re just masters of pivoting, never owning their mistakes, not even bothering to talk to the community they keep bragging about. honestly, they should be exposed. they’ve achieved nothing but pain for holders and loyal supporters

A year ago I warned people that @Memeland was a textbook slow rug run by @9gagceo and built on a concept lifted from another well-known Web3 grifter - Kevin Rose (Moonbirds), with help from @keung yet another familiar name in the grift/rug hall of fame.

Endless pivots. Zero vision. No direction.

One narrative after another, always late to the hype.
Every single product listed above is dead.

All these failures while the CEO couldn’t even bother to communicate with holders for almost two years, say anything or provide a clear path yet flexes made-up numbers claiming they’re bridging people from Web2 to Web3 and boasting an audience of 200M+

When in reality 9GAG is a completely irrelevant and forgotten site that hardly anyone uses anymore. Their only reach comes from reposting third-party content on Instagram and X.
This was the story presented to people as a big idea and they managed to pull 10,000 ETH through the mint of one of their NFT collections while the same collection still has no art almost three years later, except for one ugly floating baby.

I’ve been warning people about all of this since mid-last year but they called me FUD, a hater, saying it just takes time and all the other delusional nonsense from even more delusional holders.
Now a lot of those same people are sliding into my DMs saying I was right and regretting not listening immediately.
Unfortunately, there are also people who suffered massive losses ending up with serious mental health issues, having put everything they had into it and watched it all disappear into nothing.

Be careful and never marry your bag.
This space is seriously criminal.

Funny thing about Web3…founders love rewriting history in their own heads..They talk about “skin in the game” and “learning w/ the community,” but forget the months they went missing, the closed-door decisions, and the silence when ppl actually needed answers.

It’s the classic founder arc, they swear they’re “in the trenches” while the community is the one eating the consequences. They build storylines instead of trust, products instead of connection, then wonder why day one supporters slowly dip

Web3 doesn’t flop cuz builders stop building.
It flops when builders stop listening.

Some founders don’t even realize they’re living in dreamland until the community that used to hype them just… disappears. And suddenly that “we’re still learning” line hits real different

Back in 2022, I spent thousands of ETH collecting NFTs and joining Discord to understand the space alongside everyone.

That’s also how I met Char, and eventually led to where we are now.

Those early days shape a lot of what we build today, and we still operate the same way.

Because you can’t build for people you never sit with.
