The important detail is the setting. It is a robot doing a small, ordinary task at home.

Tesla has said Optimus could eventually cost around $20,000. A full-time household assistant in the U.S. can cost $40,000 to $60,000 every year.

That is the comparison behind the video.

The robot is still early. Carrying bags is not the same as managing a household.

But this is how the change could arrive: through small jobs that quietly become part of ordinary routines.

For decades, robots lived behind safety barriers.
