Actually that is not what is hapoenong at all. Putin’s ratings are plummeting as the promised quick victory refuse to materialize and ruSSians begin to see the death toll and economic strain the war is putting on ordinary people ( outside the corrupt oligarch system of Moscow and St.P who have massively profited in the usual corrupt style from the war ). Soldiers do return home and spread the horror stories and suffering which they then pass on litreally and figuratively. ruSSians want to see a resoslutoin. And besides - Putin has hardly been hokding back, but the Ukranians just keep getting stronger.
