This is a sad “state” of affairs.

@PMOIndia, has Haryana been exempted from following the Solid Waste Management Rules and the basic civic norms expected in a civilised country? Gurgaon’s residents may certainly be forgiven for thinking so.

It is evident that not even 5% of the civic norms and required solid-waste management measures are being implemented. But when it comes to collecting property tax and other dues, @MunCorpGurugram is relentless in pursuing citizens.

And, of course, we know it’s not MCG that is really calling the shotsthe real influence appears to lie with those handling the waste contracts and their political patrons. If that is not the case, then transparency and accountability should make it clear who is responsible.

@NayabSainiBJP ji, what about accountability for basic civic services, public health and liveability?

We, the people, are expected to pay every tax, comply with every demand and show our bhagidari-yet you have left to live with inadequate civic services.

Does citizens dignity matter anymore ? Are we entitled to basic services and a liveable environment?

Utter shame!!

@India_NHRC, if you still care about human rights, come to Gurgaon. Citizens here are being compelled to live in squalid conditions.
