But even if I know this might not be everyone's experience, I always knew I was gay. I remember having crushes on princes, never princesses. I also know many trans people who say they've known they were trans since they were kids.

Sexual orientation or gender identity isn't about sex. Adults asking kids if they have a boyfriend or girlfriend, automatically assuming they're straight, is considered totally normal. But the moment someone suggests a kid might not be straight, suddenly it's a problem? That's a bit homophobic tbh.
