Work continues:

RPD Ozzie from @DC_Police who worked with @DevonPoliceDogs has had some major health issues, including a nasty reaction to his yearly boosters, which is rare but can happen.

Poor Ozzie has been through the mill, but with careful management, it looks like he is on the road to mending.

We have been delighted to award two grants so far, totalling £2,692 to help get him fit again.

Work continues with an update on RPD Ozzie from @DevonPoliceDogs and @DC_Police.

As you all know, Ozzie has been suffering with an acute infection in his rear legs and tummy area, with skin lesions and awful swelling.

We supported Ozzies first bill with a grant of just over £1500 yesterday, and his Mum sent us this message to share with you.

Treatment continues and we will be there for Tasha and Ozzie for as long as they need us.

It’s RPD Ozzies 9th birthday today - but very sadly it’s not as happy as he’d like.

Ozzie has been suffering from a severe infection in his back legs and tummy area and has spent some time at the vet - yet the poor boy is still fighting this nasty virus, which as yet is unidentified.

He’s back to the vets tomorrow after an uncomfortable weekend, and hopefully they will get to the bottom of it, however it means those medical bills are now mounting up.

Ozzie said he doesn’t need birthday gifts, but what he would love most is if you might consider making a donation for his birthday to the NFRSA to help with his vet costs, which will be over £2,000.

Ozzie and his Mum would be very grateful if you might honour his 9 years, and his impeccable 6 years service as a police dog with @DC_Police & @DevonPoliceDogs, by being there for him in his hour of need.
