Who ever was assaulted by this " security official" at Rolling Loud Orlando should call the police and file an assault charge. It happened on camera in front of everyone. #RLO#rollingloud
The "weed guy" as cultural archetype has completely disappeared. Musicians like Snoop Dogg or Wiz Khalifa who made it their whole personality are irrelevant now. Legalization normalized it. There's no counterculture left in it, no edge, it's just dated. Among movies, "stoner comedies" like Pineapple Express are completely obsolete.
There's more to it! It used to be that this particular "weed guy" archetype selected for people who were a bit rebellious and therefore interesting. But now that the rebellious have moved elsewhere, the "weed guy" that's leftover is just tremendously boring. Because of course marijuana tends to slow people down, make them complacent, a little lazy -- boring. You may not even know any of them, because they tend to just hang out by themselves, stoned, alone, at home. This is now an antimemetic personality.
