It's very disheartening that there seems to be so little regard for philosophy in the general population. The field has its flaws, but I think it remains one of the most rigorous, and one of the most committed to honest inquiry into truth, in the arts and social sciences.

@SpanishEnkidu Yeah that's why I think Twilight is the best intro because N. makes the scope and character of his critique very clear and it inoculates you to bad readings of the rest of his work.

The recent “Quebec French is real French” discourse is funny to me, because they also say stuff like “Donne-moi un break” which is a litteral translation of “Give me a break”. 😭
