A display of our Christmas window display competition. There were some amazing entries and congratulations to Endeavour 1 & Wavecrest for gaining 1st prizes. Special mentions to Discovery for their Banks inspired art and Invincible for their PECS work in making the decorations.
Our beautiful tree is shining all over Swanage. We have had such kindness and support from our local community this year and we are very proud to be a member of this special group of people.
Our students have been busy in the Hub making seaside scenes from recycled materials. Please contact us if you would be interested in purchasing one, we hope to open an online shop soon.
We’ve just finished recording a different end of year celebration. We are so proud of all our young people and we hope they enjoy watching our celebration assembly. Our montage song this year could only be ‘We are family’ We are the PVS family.
May was national walking month and in lockdown we explored our local community on many walks. We discovered that walks made us feel good. There were nature walks, beach walks, forest walks and historic walks. Our longest single walk was an impressive 12 miles long.
Today is always one of the highlights of our school year #kidsout We won’t be feeling sad today but remembering the wonderful days out we’ve had over the years thanks to @SwanageRotary and @RotaryGBI. We’re looking forward to our special day out with you all in 2021.

Thank you to all the amazing nhs staff for all you are doing for us. We are a residential special school and have enjoyed decorating our houses with these beautiful rainbows.
To celebrate World Maths day, our students looked at different ways we use maths every day. We did sums on the trampoline, counted at the farm, used money at the supermarket and enjoyed many different Maths activities in classes. Happy maths day 2020
This pub is a great venue for a work experience placement. I was lucky enough to visit it this morning and saw what a valuable experience it is for our student. He is developing a variety of skills and has a great working relationship with his colleague.
This week we've been looking at online identity as part of our work for #SID2020 Anke did a great assembly which involved lots of dressing up and role play.All our students have designed an avatar to represent themselves.We have also talked about the information we share online.
