MN Metro Stars advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 73-49 victory over Texas LoneStar. Metro delivered one of Day 1’s most efficient offensive performances, shooting 71.8% from the field, 66.7% from three and a perfect 5-for-5 at the free-throw line.

Metro outscored Texas LoneStar 68-45 from the field and 5-4 at the line, accounting for the exact 24-point margin. Texas committed only four turnovers and recorded 10 steals, but Metro’s exceptional shot-making overcame the possession difference.

Metro’s five leading scorers combined for 67 points while shooting 26-for-35 from the field and making 10 three-pointers. Tate Addler led the group with 22 points and four threes on 8-for-11 shooting.

Seven years ago, I fell in love with the game of basketball. Since then, I’ve spent countless hours on and off the court, working on and playing the game I love.

At State Prelims in early May, I suffered a knee injury. The original diagnosis was a hyperextended knee and a strained hamstring, but a couple days ago, I got the news after a follow-up and MRI that I tore my ACL and meniscus. Surgery is scheduled for mid-June, and I know there’s a long road ahead but my love for this game hasn’t changed. I’m fully committed to the work, the rehab, and the process to come back stronger than ever.

Thank you to my coaches, trainers and teammates at @MNStars2029 @MinnesotaStars @MGGirlshoops @PureIntensityBB @MBTbball @pwfree23 , ETS in Rogers, and to my friends and family for the continued love, prayers, and support. It truly means the world. 🏀❤️
