You're gonna be convinced of that 'til next month when you get to how certain aspects of Manufacturing pay nearly 50% higher (Aerospace) than equal prerequisite occupations. In your confusion of how the industry is too nuanced for broad generalizations, you may look for answers in history…

and then you're gonna be talkin' about how the economies of Virginia and Pennsylvania have been manufacturing centric since in 1790. That lags in skilled workforces are not new, hell, even the shift from an agrarian to an industrial economy was addressed by what we now know as the standardized American elementary school.

That's gonna last until next year -- you're gonna be in here regurgitating FOX, CNN, talkin' about, you know, the Post-Equilibrium utopia and the capital-forming effects of upward American mobilization.

In the US, we face an industrial emergency compared to the prowess of China.

If you want to build, even something simple. It’s 10x harder in the US than in China. Largely due to a lack of experts in the US.

Listening to Tim Cook talk about why Apple manufacturers in China, it’s not because of the cost. It’s because of the robust manufacturing ecosystem.

It’s great to see his talk get more recognition, but it’s from 2017… the problem is only worse.

Many conversations with US manufacturing experts unveil a sobering truth - a generational knowledge gap exists. The younger generation isn't as keen on manufacturing jobs, and crucial skills aren't being passed down.

To rebuild US manufacturing, we must invest in training and offer incentives. We need to show the next generation that making things in the real world is cool and vital.
