years ago, i sailed from hawaii to hong kong on a 55ft yacht called broadsword

it was part of exercise transglobe 98
a race around the world between the army, navy and RAF

somewhere in the pacific, we hit a force 8 storm

the wind was howling, the seas were rough and we had equipment breaking on us

not exactly somewhere you can pull over and call the AA 😂

but you get on with it

everyone has a job, everyone depends on each other, and panicking doesn't fix a thing

we eventually made it to hong kong

and the army won our leg 🤘

that experience taught me something i've carried ever since

you can't control everything that goes wrong

but you can control how you respond when it does

This Ape has and will ALWAYS be to me the prize of my entire collection and maybe the most loved thing I own bar none. It was my first big purchase years back and means S0 much to me. 🍊 has always been my fav color and the prison jump suit was a reminder of when I was locked up by the Feds years ago. Today I’m giving it as a gift to @0xquit for basically saving the space for all of us last night. I was lucky to not get drained but many of my friends did. His selflessness and generosity is what I inspire to be. When I get home from work will transfer my orange 🧡 to him. It’s definetly going to the absolute best of humans ….
