Building for the Future: Strengthening our Himalayan Lifelines
NITI Aayog convened an important dialogue on "Building for the Future: Strengthening our Himalayan Lifelines". Programme Director (Infrastructure) Shri Rajeev Singh Thakur, NITI Aayog, while setting the tone, emphasised the need for a paradigm shift from reactive rebuilding to proactive, risk-informed planning. The dialogue focused on how we can create resilient infrastructure in the face of rising climate risks such as GLOFs (Glacial Lake Outburst Floods) and landslides.
The webinar brought together leading experts, including Prof. B.K. Maheshwari (IIT Roorkee), Dr. Rakesh Bhambri (Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology), Sh. Sudip Chaudhury (Additional Director General, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways), and Sh. Abdul Basit (National Highways Authority of India).
A central message emerged that climate science must be embedded into project planning to ensure infrastructure that delivers resilience alongside connectivity. This dialogue marks an essential step toward shaping a national roadmap for a secure and sustainable Himalayan region.

@BCCI should ask itself—is this how a modern cricket legend retires? Champions who've given us pride and countless moments of joy. If Test cricket is real cricket, then a respectful farewell is the real exit.

Pakistan after getting the IMF loan: 'Yaar war se kya milta hai, shaanti mein sukoon hai.'

The IMF claims to support global stability, yet it keeps handing billions to Pak, a nation repeatedly linked to terror financing. Why bankroll a state that harbors extremists? Stop funding funding terrorism.

If Pakistan hasn't suffered any losses and isn't on the back foot, as their propaganda claims, why the sudden call for a nuclear command meeting?
Sounds more like panic than power.

I love that Pakistanis hate my PM @narendramodi the real worry would be if they started loving him. That would mean something's gone wrong with India and its security.

First, ISI supports and plans attacks. Then, they launch an internet warfare campaign to build false narratives. Don’t fall into this trap. Let the government take required action. Avoid sharing anything without proper verification.

Teams win by contributions, not just by having legends. Who needs talent when you can just have a bunch of icons hanging around? Let’s just rely on their past glory instead of teamwork!

"Ah, the genius of Gambhir at work! Instead of nurturing a winning team, he decides to make them struggle first. Bcz why not take a team that’s on top n turn it upside down? Who needs success when you can have a dramatic comeback story.

One of the biggest hurdles for India in becoming a preferred tourist destination in the World is cleanliness, and blaming the govt for it is unfair.
The govt can raise awareness about cleanliness and provide better waste disposal services, but it can't hold your hand and force you to dispose of waste properly.
There's a lack of a cleanliness culture. Wherever you go — hills, beaches, monuments, or religious places — you'll find waste dumped everywhere. People openly litter, and if someone tries to educate them, they're point blank told to mind their own business.
For those who say about lack of Infra in Lakshadweep-
Economy works on demand and supply principle, you visit Lakshadweep and create demand Infra will eventually created in upcoming years.
Create demand and boost our own economy.
