Many folks asked me if Rust is mandatory to start building on @solana :)
Answer: No
You can do 80%+ of things with just TypeScript and client side solana (prefer TS over JS).
Just learn:
- Solana account model & PDAs
- How transactions land on Solana
- Basics of Solana runtime
- Using Solana SDK (solana/web3.js)
- A little about Jito transactions
Then you can simply move into building:
→ Wallet extensions (Solana SDK)
→ Trading bots on DEX / launchpads (Anchor IDLs)
→ Integrate with any contract
→ Indexers (gRPC + protos)
→ Arbitrage bots (Kamino + RPC/gRPC)
→ Payment gateways
→ Tokens, NFTs, collections (Metaplex / Candy Machine)
→ DeFi projects
Most Solana products expose TS SDKs + Solana’s own solana/web3.js docs are amazing!

@GuptaSanskritii@Keployio Love your work. I'm trying to learn UI UX and create website mockups like yours. Can you guide me which resources or courses you followed.
@ShruPosts I don't know anything in UI UX but I want to learn it. As an absolute beginner what resources should I follow to start creating UI UX. Can you share a general roadmap how you approached it. Which topics to do in sequence? Thanks 😊
How I started my Web3 journey?
- In the beginning, I was an airdrop hunter. Did this for around 2–3 years and then started development at the mid of my 3rd year.
- At that time, I had no idea of even basic html. I grinded completely, day and night, and in just 4 months I was capable of building a full-stack app without any AI help.
- Then I got back into crypto, but this time with a developer mindset. I built small projects on Ethereum, Polygon, Avax and more - nothing huge, just simple transfers, staking, NFT-related stuff.
- Over the next 8 months, I gained a solid understanding of how blockchain and development actually work.
- After that, I got into @solana again (it was my favorite chain even during my airdrop days, still is). Started learning Rust, picked up some Anchor, and then discovered Blinks.
- I built 4 Blinks for Blinkathon, got a grant for one of them, and became a contributor at @SuperteamIN.
- Got into @AthenaF0SS , met some crazy like minded people and eventually the @akatsuk10_ started from there.
- After some time, I got a job at a Solana-based startup while also joining the @solanaturbine cohort. also my grandfather got ill so i had taken care of him for 3 month. and Somehow, I managed everything at the same time.
- I successfully graduated from Turbine, shipped my capstone, got featured on their socials, and eventually won my 2nd grant from Superteam. Also i was selected for elites but for some health issues i had to leave.
- Then I took a 1 month break to focus completely on my job because I was too burned out from other stuffs.
- Now I’m back to the grind and this time with even bigger goals, and I’m sure I’ll complete all of them in next one year
PS :- I’m sharing this because today I felt like I’m falling behind.
