We are proud to announce Ash Corcoran as the Restore Britain candidate for Beechwood & Heath in the Halton Borough Council by-election on Thursday, 29th October.
A gardener by trade whose roots are firmly in Runcorn, Ash is passionate about his local area, with a strong record of grassroots volunteering and local involvement. Ash began his volunteering through Litter Networks, where he quickly took the initiative to organise regular litter-picking sessions, helping to improve the local environment and bring residents together. This later developed into his own charity, where he used his expertise in grounds maintenance to clean and maintain important local heritage sites, including St Mary's Church.
Ash and his wife are active members of their local church, and his values have been shaped by his upbringing, his close-knit family and his strong connection to the community he calls home.
In 2024, Ash was named Apprentice/Young Person of the Year at the Halton Business Awards and now he wants to put that experience, local knowledge and determination to work representing the people of Beechwood & Heath.
Ash's priorities are clear:
��Improve access to quality, affordable adult social care.
🔴Expand local SEND provision and reduce costly travel.
🔴Tackle violence, criminal damage and anti-social behaviour.
🔴Push for better GP and pharmacy services in the ward.
🔴Restore and improve safe local green spaces.
Ash is also determined to tackle the local issues that residents have watched go unresolved for too long.
One example is the pond in Heath Park, which has remained barren for far too long. Ash wants to investigate what can be done to restore it, working in partnership with Friends of Heath Park Lake to help find a solution.
And above all, Ash believes Halton Borough Council must get a grip on its finances and debt so essential local services can be protected for the future.

Hopefully, we will stop them getting planning permission, but if they are built, over 800 of the new houses could go to migrants !!!!
