Also, even though it’s a ‘force play’ to double off Suzuki for the third out (just have to step in the bag, not tag him) it still doesn’t negate the run in a third out if the plate is touched first!

Enjoyed watching the Cubs win on TV last night despite lots of blown scoring opportunities, including Villar lazily crossing home plate a split second after the Rockies doubled off a lost Suzuki at first base in a truly bizarre inning-ending double play!

It should have been a routine sac fly to right with one out, but Suzuki wandered way to far off first for some reason.
