One of these days I’m going to write up a thread on here about Thrall, cuz thinking about how mishandled and how much they’ve failed to deliver on his character deeply upsets me and is sorta the root of alot that’s gone wrong with the way the Horde has persisted as a fantasy.
We can make theories, I certainly have. But at this point in the story we probably should have something more concrete about her characterization instead of making her actions and goals MORE opaque. (end)
and Midnight repeatedly makes it clear that she's not following whatever agenda the Void had. We're told she forced the domanaar and Devouring Host into serving her for this battle they had little interest in beforehand. (4)
But then we find out that Xal'atath betrayed Dimensius, then she she usurps him but continues to try and get the Worldsoul. So why does she still want/need it? She's not, as far as we know, a being of pure consumption like Dimensius, (3)
What exactly is her plan and why is she doing it? In TWW we didn't need an explanation because it was self-evident. She's the Harbinger of the Void here to give our Worldsoul to Dimensius and Dimensius wants to eat it because that's just what he does. (2)
I've been thinking about an issue I have with Xal'atath: we should know more about her by this point in the trilogy. We still don't understand her motivation or ultimate goal in large part because what they have revealed makes her more mysterious instead of less. (1)
@BaalTheWarlock I don't want Vereesa's kids' either! No more Alliance heroes' kids and their Windrunner handlers!
Just have Liadrin and Salandria be the Horde mirror to Arator and Vereesa! THEN you'll have something that's actually GOOD.
@priestgf I honestly dgaf about, like, 90% of the current cast. None of the villains engage me, the faction leaders are underdeveloped, and the main expansion protagonists are just super boring 🥱
