NWS Omaha's warning product generation this afternoon was nothing short of heroic. As of 7:45 PM
164 SVS (followup to TOR,SVR warnings)
102 LSR (Local Storm Reports)
42 Tornado Warnings
25 Severe Thunderstorm Warnings
Those SVS and LSR counts take extreme levels of effort.

@nsj I think it depends a lot on where you live. Along the Gulf Coast dew point is everything. Broadcasters mention it frequently. The 95/82 we saw last month is only 66% RH, but it feels hella awful. Without communicating dewpoints the public just assumes it's 100% humidity.
A large snake sneaked into our office today and freaked us out! We relaxed once we identified it as a Gopher Snake and figured it was just seeking shelter from the heat. We opened the door and asked it to leave. We then measured it and found it to be 45 inches long! #heatsafety
Here's something we don't see every day:
Tonight's storm was such a prolific hail producer that the lingering hail on the ground can be seen on IR satellite! This is due to the temperature differences between the warm/dry ground and cooler hail-covered ground
