JUST IN: ๐บ๐ธ๐ฌ๐ง President Trump says arrest of ex-Prince Andrew is "a shame."
"I think it's so bad for the royal family. Itโs very, very sad. To me, it's a very sad thing."
That's a rare pic, sent to me by friends in Afghanistan; the Great Bamiyan Buddha only a short while before being blown up by the Taliban. It will be 20 years ago next month. I'm having a huge case of Hazara blues - bought a new Buddhist art book yesterday and all the memories came tumbling down. Never forget that Afghanistan remains an imperial Forever War - and there's noting those Dem dementia clowns now in charge, sort of, will do to end it.
๐บ๐ธU.S. nuclear Submarine offers show of force in the Middle East:
The United States is believed to have deployed an additional submarine armed with 150 Tomahawk cruise missiles in or near the Middle East as part of a growing military buildup.
The Ohio-class guided-missile submarines are the most heavily armed conventional strike platforms in the U.S. Navy.
Originally designed to carry nuclear ballistic missiles, four of these vessels were converted to carry massive salvos of Tomahawk cruise missiles, providing a stealthy, high-volume strike capability.
This specific configuration allows for 154 missiles, which is roughly equivalent to the entire vertical launch capacity of a surface battle group.
Out of the 24 original ballistic missile tubes, 22 were modified into vertical launch systems. Each of these 22 tubes contains a canister that holds seven Tomahawk missiles.
