A quarter of terror attacks in Britain over the past decade have targeted Muslims, but some have gone largely unnoticed because of delays formally declaring them terrorism
Most jihadist attacks, by contrast, have been declared within hours

“We are slipping further into Israel’s strategic orbit, at a time when the world is increasingly pivoting away from it. The Prime Minister’s visit to Israel will go down in history as a bewildering strategic decision.
The spirit of Indian nationhood demands that we speak up for our Palestinian brothers and sisters whose children have been so brutally targeted.”
Through her editorial, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji calls on India to reclaim its independent foreign policy, uphold humanitarian values, and speak up with moral clarity on Gaza.

2 years ago my son, a white British lad, married a Muslim young woman originally from Bangladesh. Their relationship has helped me understand that the negative stereotypes about Muslims are just plain wrong. Yes, some people identifying as Muslim have done despicable things, but that is true of some bad individuals of every colour & creed.

'Many times, I said on television that the problem is Islam. The problem is Muslims... I was hysterical.'
@TuckerCarlson tells me how his views on Islam changed since the September 11th terror attack

A 14-year-old Muslim girl was dragged off a bus and punched in the chest on her way home from school.
Her friend was thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious.
Her other friend was thrown into a road with moving cars.
The woman called her a "f***ing fat N*****" before dragging her off by force.
Three schoolgirls. A public bus. Broad daylight.
In Birmingham, men grabbed a woman from behind, dragged her down and ripped off her hijab near Gravelly Hill station. Her father had to intervene. Police released CCTV.
On 19 June in Edinburgh, five Muslim men were attacked with a machete. Two had just left prayers. The attacker shouted about "Muslim bastards" as he was arrested. Ten terrorism charges.
On 24 June in Newham, a mosque was targeted with racial abuse. The Newham Muslim Forum said political inaction has normalised it.
These aren't isolated. They're accelerating.
The Islamophobia Response Unit recorded a 377% rise in cases between 2023 and 2024. 906 investigated.
The Muslim Women's Network UK surveyed Muslim women around the 2024 riots. Before, 17% were very worried for their safety. After, 74%.
In January, Parliament published its first ever inquiry into gendered Islamophobia.
1 in 5 Muslim women experienced a hate incident in the last year.
80% never reported it.
Hate targeting Muslim women is more likely to carry sexual aggression than hate targeting men.
The finding: they are targeted because they are visible.
In May, the government responded.
It refused the word Islamophobia.
The women being attacked asked for it to be named. The government took the name away.
After Edinburgh, the outgoing Prime Minister said the attack "appears to be motivated by anti-Muslim hatred." The Home Secretary said "appears."
Ten terrorism charges had already been laid.
This morning, GB News published: "The police keep caving in to Muslims."
The same morning, the head of the National Secular Society attacked The Guardian for using the word Islamophobia at all.
You can criticise the religion, they say. Just not the people.
Tonight, Katie Hopkins takes a stage in Leicester.
The APPG definition has existed since 2018. 800 organisations backed it. The government chose a weaker word instead.
The word they chose is the one that lets all of this carry on.
Schoolgirls dragged off buses.
Men stabbed outside mosques.
A mosque abused in Newham.
Shops called criminal enterprises on national television.
A stage booked in Leicester.
And these things just keep happening to us.
It appears. It seems. It looks like.
We don't even get to name the thing that is being done to us.
Every silence is permission.
Every omission is a green light.
Every word they refuse is cover for the next attack.
A stage booked in a city that deserves better.
And every Muslim in the UK asking why don’t they care about us?

Deeply saddened by the devastation and loss of life caused by the earthquakes in #Venezuela and surrounding areas.
We pray for the injured and stand in solidarity with all those affected during this difficult and challenging time.
Young people across Palestine are striving to reclaim the futures the conflict in Gaza threatened to take away.
The government is helping more Gazan scholars travel to the UK to complete their studies, and enabling more critically injured children to access specialist medical care.
It’s time to call out and clamp down on those that fund, initiate and spread anti Muslim tropes, racism and division.
This network of foreign and domestic funders are supporting groups, think tanks, influencers and media outlets to sow division, create hatred and divide our country.
When the public discourse is deliberately poisoned it’s inevitable that we will see the kind of attacks we tragically saw on the streets of Edinburgh

The Prophet said,”The best prayer after the prescribed prayers is a prayer offered in the middle of the night. The best fast after the month of Ramadan is fasting in the month of Allah, al-Muharram.” [Muslim]

Proud to announce that Abu Dhabi has been selected to host the 11th Religions for Peace World Assembly in 2027 following a successful nomination led by @adpeaceforum. The announcement comes after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by the Secretary General H.E. @MahfoudhSheikh on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace.
A significant milestone for Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a global hub for peacebuilding, dialogue, and interfaith cooperation. This will be the first assembly to be held in the Gulf with over 1,000 delegates. #UAE #AbuDhabi #SheikhZayed
Theologian JD Hall to Tucker Carlson:
The Muslim rulers didn't tax churches during the Ottoman period. They were very kind to Christians.
As a matter of fact, they took care of our holy sites. Islamic authorities rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulchre three different times over the centuries.
They had a law protecting Christian pilgrims on their journey. Nobody messed with the pilgrims.
There is absolutely no place for racism, religious discrimination or violence in Scotland.
We are working with @PoliceScotland to ensure everyone feels safe, protected and included.
First Minister @JohnSwinney visited local mosques in the wake of recent attacks in Edinburgh.
