Last week Theodore station for Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month held a morning tea to raise awareness of domestic and family violence and to send a clear message that violence of this sort will not be tolerated within the community.

Last week paramedics in Theodore took part in an Aerodrome incident simulation. The practical exercise prepares both paramedics and allied agencies for the unexpected and ensures incident management plans are effective.

Today Rockhampton Station held a morning tea and were joined by Karyn Battersby of Relationship Australia, DFV Services. Karyn spoke to staff about services they provide within Central Queensland and how paramedics can assist with referrals and support for those affected by DFV.

Young Archie and his dad Nick received a personalised ambulance tour at Gladstone station with Bianca and Jenni. Archie visited the station to say thank you to the paramedics who attended and treated Archie recently for a medical incident.
