이들은 휴대전화가 펨토셀에 연결되기 쉬운 심야에 범행했으며, 피해자는 94명·피해액은 6023만원으로 집계됐다. A씨는 중국 측 인물에게 500만원을 받고 텔레그램으로 범행 장소와 시간을 전달받았다고 진술했다.

주범은 징역 4년6개월을 선고받았으며, 중국 총책은 신원이 특정돼 인터폴 적색수배가 요청됐다.
