Funeral costs can cause people to cut back on food and struggle with rent.

It’s why we set up Down to Earth, the only UK-wide support service for people facing funeral poverty.

When someone dies and there is no-one able or willing to arrange the funeral, councils must provide one. But in reality, provision is a postcode lottery.
