@drizzy__dree And I do still have questions for the BLE!! They never answered most of them because they didn’t want to. Next week I have to go dark on my personal account, so I’ll prolly be back, yelling into the void w full force 😭
@drizzy__dree Oooh I’m glad I opened this. I miss you too. Turns out my firm expects me to not only “work” but also to “bill hours”... we’re a plaintiffs firm.
@staciejosborn@SydVicious28 @420AttyChicago (2) mid-MBE, some landscapers were mowing & leaf blowing at the window 5ft from me. I planned ahead, asked HOA to reschedule them, so I was... pissed. I very audibly was like “WHAT THE FUCK?!” And I put my fingers in my ears for like 30 mins bc no ear plugs. Also didn’t ding me.
@staciejosborn@SydVicious28 @420AttyChicago I was super worried about fidgeting bc adhd. 2 things happened that *didn’t* raise an issue for me, for some real examples. (1) Like 10 mins into a session, the overhead light above me started flickering. I must’ve looked up at it 50 times bc it was so annoying. Didn’t DQ me.
This wild divergence demands an investigation. ExamSoft at the top of the list. Also the other differences bw the exams they pretended were “equal,” including scratch paper, accommodations, scaling, the TX essays, even things like bathroom breaks & earplugs. We’re not stupid.
I want to talk about it. Already am. You should also talk about it. There are a decent number of respected attnys replying, but will any of them DO SOMETHING other than fire off a single tweet?
Um this is real, and this man is licensed in good standing in CA. What a joke. Is this minimum competence? Protecting the public in New California and New Nevada??
(Saw someone tweet a screenshot w/o linking, booo, always link if you can)

I also want to know the number of examinees whose video flags were referred to the BLE for further review, how many exams the BLE did review, and how many failed based on said review.

@drizzy__dree@FutureTXAttys Done! So unjust. Bar examiners insist this exam tests merit (armed with no evidence) but then take no responsibility when the actual administration fails (armed with waivers of responsibility). I said in July the only competence being tested is the bar examiners’. Still true.
If you had issues with the MPT portion of the exam, @TheWendiDodson would like to hear your experience. The BLE relishes it’s gatekeeping function, but only to the extent it shuts the gate. As if KEEPING IT OPEN wasn’t also it’s job!!
@420AttyChicago @goldstar9711 Came to this thread to say all the things y’all already said in reply. Like my god. The gall to pretend like our valid criticisms of the exam are a bigger threat to the integrity of the profession than their incompetence administering said exam. It’s offensive really.
@drizzy__dree Oh I’d take the whole Office & never look back. Stanley should be BOLE/BLE chair. Dwight can be assistant to Stanley. Jim, Andy, and Ryan can be board members. Kelly as the PR. Pam for communications. Angela, Phyllis, Oscar, and Meredith as the analysts. And Creed as Judy’s blog.
ExamSoft should get an independent audit to prove that first claim. Evidence, put up or shut up. And the second claim?? A technically true statement that omits the key fact that exam takers CANT approve their own photo if the software doesn’t recognize them in the first place.
