Locking people up should never be the goal but that's what happens when you become clouded by thoughts of a new jail.

I spoke to a woman today who started using again because a city sweep destroyed all her stuff, including the meds she was taking to prevent opioid withdrawals. Sweeps encourage people back to addiction.

@voodoobones Didn't vote for Nowels but to be fair, he was the only one with any relevent education (criminal justice and administration) on the ballot. The other two were community college applied science degree and high school respectively. Nelson was also going all in department expansion.
