Ok letβs start getting hype for next season yβall
Evita. Galileo. Wanted. Dreamgirls. Regency Girls. Benjamin Button. Imitation of Life. Black Swan. Damn Yankees. Benjamin Button. The Heart. Fantasticks. The Full Monty.
Weβre gonna be eating GOOD
saw two cast members from cats on my way to the train and said they better eat at the tonys and one of them said I KNOW THATβS RIGHT FROM YOUR LIPS TO GODβS EARS
i think it is interesting that last season, the innovative reinvention of a musical was rewarded compared to the more traditional staging (sunset v gypsy) and this year the tonys did the exact opposite (cats v ragtime)
the nonsense of Cats winning best direction and choreography but not winning Best Revival, like I get the singing in Ragtime is excellent but give me a break
He was incredible in The Lazoursβ We Live in Cairo last season Off-Broadway and starred in The Whoβs Tommy on Broadway the season before. The TALENT on HIM!!! So proud and happy for him!
my apologies to ali louis bourzgui because iβve admired your talent since hadestown but i was wildly unfamiliar with your game until that beautiful tonys speech
holy crap this is easily the best Tony Award speech of the entire night. hell yes to all of this
"This is dedicated to the beautiful tapestry of immigrant families who make this country really special. May you one day not have to audition for the empathy that should be freely given by this country that benefits from your beauty. To the queer and trans communities that always will exist, no matter what people in power try to take away from them. To the people of Palestine who deserve to live a free life β a full life β without occupation. ... If there's one thing we can learn from vampires, it's that life is short, but that's its gift. Find beauty in the ephemeral and gratitude in what is not promised."
βAli Louis Bourzgui, winning Featured Actor in a Musical for The Lost Boys
