Speaking of which, this right here reminded me of those Halo / Half-Life style checkpoints / intermissions. One word to describe this, EPIC!! ๐ท
Props to MAETH for giving everyone a chance to try out this public demo. This is worthy of my wishlist! ๐ซถ
The SPRAWL zero demo is OUT NOW!
We're thrilled you can finally get your hands on the demo on Steam now!
To let you fully dive in, weโve included the first two levels: The Graveyard and Buried.
So much hard work from everyone here at MAETH, building the game of our dreams!
This solo indie dev is making a sci-fi bounty hunter RPG inspired by The Mandalorian, Dune and Max Payne
- Track criminals across a lawless star system
- Fast combat built on movement and precision
- Slow time in the Void
It's called Riftwalker. Would you play this?
@Pirat_Nation Which is exactly why storefronts should stop labeling those buttons as "Buy" and call them "Rent" or "License" instead. However, that kind of transparency would give consumers more power, and many businesses have little incentive to do that.
@PlayStalgiaX Some of those PS1 3D platformers weren't kind to me as a kid (combination of wonky camera / jumping feeling stiff). I remember playing the demo of this on one of those OPM demo discs. I kept falling from the rooftops section.๐
@crazycave Depends on what you value the most. Some of us support both:
Steam -> huge library, multiplayer, community features, & Workshop mods
GOG -> curated library, DRM-free games, offline installers, compatibility fixes, optional launcher, & version rollback
@realradec You just unlocked a core memory of me as a kid playing FlatOut 2. Launching your driver through the windshield like a human cannonball had me crying with laughter. My mom... not so much. ๐

@HannyahZ You're comparing optional developer choices to GOG's store policy. Steam doesn't guarantee offline installers. GOG does. That's why people value it.
This will be a constant reminder to folks on PC, support other DRM-free game releases on https://t.co/RKPiVmR425 when you can. ๐ฅ๏ธ๐

Sony ending physical media in 2028 isn't a new direction, it's the next step. ๐
First https://t.co/RKPiVmR425 & DRM-free were dropped, next pulling back on PC releases for major first-party games. Physical discs are just the latest casualty. Ownership keeps shrinking.
What does it mean for us personally that Sony just flipped the table of physical media?
Here is our statement about the future of DoesItPlay?: https://t.co/lcly4j61qr

@GOGcom I hope you guys can continue to talk to GHM / suda51 about bringing the rest of their games over. There's still many missing and I want to have the whole GHM collection from GOG. ๐ฅฐKeep up the awesome work!
@GOGcom@suda_51 Shoutout to GOG, XSEED Games, Marvelous, and Grasshopper Manufacture for making DRM-free versions available. Game preservation is incredibly important, and giving players ownership-friendly options deserves recognition. ๐
Please continue to bring more GHM games over to GOG!
