Great news! We have launched two new courses; Agricultural Sciences and NI’s first ever Veterinary Biosciences degree.

The new programmes will be available from September 2026 and respond to growing demand for skilled professionals in #VeterinaryScience, #AnimalHealth and #Agriculture.

They will offer a science based curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

Congratulations to Dr Simon Cameron who has been appointed the new Academic in Residence by the National Measurement Laboratory (NML) at @LGCGroup for the NML’s Centre for Excellence in #Agriculture and #FoodIntegrity at the University.

Dr Cameron is a Senior Lecturer in #Microbiology and #BioanalyticalChemistry within @QUBbioscience and @QUBIGFS.

"Combining Queen’s and the NML’s extended networks, we can foster stronger collaborations in Northern Ireland and across the UK that will create the interdisciplinary environment for innovation-based measurement projects supporting improved reliability, safety and productivity of the agri-food industry and supply chain.”
