@jackchong_jc 3/3 large buy side funds only buy credit assets based on their credit ratings; CRA provide a third party validation on the risk profiles of certain assets and regulators rely heavenly on them ( ie. during the 09 crisis, only assets with certain ratings were allowed on the TARP)
@jackchong_jc 2/3 Since the 70s, they have played a massive role in the expansion of the credit bubble and the advent of securitization. I appreciate that we have some natives players in web3, ready to fill the roles. But web 2 CRA have to be an intricated part of the discussion.
