@boomomo413@RabbiStevenG Oh I agree he'll never get the nomination. Fetterman is like a '90s Democrat that got lost in a Time Warp, which is kind of why I like him.
You basically need a Totemkopf to win a D primary in 2026
@NJBeisner@_SamanthaWalton I'm not judging you at all. I'm responding to many of the people who are responded to you harshly for asking these questions, like the one in this same thread who suggested that even asking questions about supersessionism goes against "the church"
@RogerThat1961@rabbriansamuel They are joining the Church. The Church's mission is to take the gospel to all people - FIRST the Jew, then the Gentile.
For the first time MANY Jews are open to the Gospel. For Jewish converts to just hang out with other Gentiles and not seize this moment would be tragic
@Cobbler8088@rabbriansamuel Yes - the Islamic world is quite divided. The Mahdi will have to consolidate power before he can begin to wield it as he wants. He will need to deal with the King of the South as his prototype Antiochus Epiphanes IV did.
Daniel 11:21-44
@AK212121212121@TheJewishIdea They would (and will) welcome THEIR idea of Jesus with open arms. A Jesus who will assist the Mahdi in forcibly converting the world to Islam and killing Christians.
They will not like the true Jesus who comes to kill the Mahdi and his false prophet.
@mehdirhasan Out of interest, are you at all concerned that this candidate wants the total eradication of Western Civilization, or are you more concerned that John Fetterman's bullet points are out of order?
@NJBeisner@_SamanthaWalton You'll see that the supersessionist crowd does not tolerate questions very well.
Romans 11 and the eternal covenants for them a problem to be dealt with, not scripture to be submitted to.
I left that cult 15 years ago when they met MY questions with insults instead of answers.
@_SamanthaWalton@NJBeisner Good idea. The earliest Church fathers did not teach that the Church had replaced Israel. They taught that the church had been grafted in to Israel, as Paul taught.
Supersessionism came a generation later.
@NJBeisner Correct. In the EXACT SAME BREATH that God promised the New Covenant to the people of Israel and Judah, God promised to never reject the descendants of Israel and that Jerusalem would be rebuilt and never again destroyed.
Paul quotes Jer. 31 in Romans 11.
God has promised
@newformofflight@Mish_K_ Additionally, in the same breath that God promises the New Covenant, he also promises that he will never abandon ethnic Israel and that Jerusalem will be rebuilt and never destroyed again.
Can't have the first part of the New Covenant without the rest. Jerusalem is central.
