I was reading “Things we do not tell the people we love” I put down the book after each chapter to process! A particular chapter, I pondered for the whole day!
I look at some of the situations people bring children into and it’s clear yall never envision the day when your child will grow old enough to put two and two together and realize you’re an idiot.
my mom’s a nurse so basically i grew up in the clinic she worked at, which made me good at articulating my medical issues to doctors
so color me surprised when i grew up and found out that’s actually the opposite of what doctors want in patients and they won’t hide their disdain
@Odogwunwanyii@JosephineAvid@the_zaynarb@Omo_olodun I gave this business over 6 chances, this is before they opened their new place in Lekki. My take is the person in charge of this business is not willing to invest in the right talent to look back at where they are coming from & where they are now,to fix their operational issues.
Someone needs to carry out a massive class action lawsuit against MTN in Nigeria! The reason is, actively working everyday to reduce the quality of life, for Nigerians!
Let me start by saying, Mr Favour, you're a smart man. I enjoy reading your tweets. We don't always agree - and I am in your mentions a lot, but I respect your views, which are grounded in thought and study.
Having said this, please permit me to go on a fairly long rant.
Pan Africanism is not as much about unity (which is theoretical and abstract) as it is mutual beneficial cooperation, which is a no-brainer. Pan-Africanists basically want AFTCA to work in practice, as it is obviously better for everyone. Everything else is a distraction.
We don't need to love each other, or be brothers, or dream of never having disagreements, but can we all understand that mutual cooperation is paramount and practical?
Can individual countries meet their potential without high levels of cooperation with their neighbours and the people who share similar challenges and require similar solutions (Think economies of scale or vertical + horizontal integration in a corporation)?
Africa is the only continent in which, I'd say, most of its Nations are almost entirely isolated from each other in many layers and dimensions.
Mexicans and Americans have many differences. So do all the countries in the EU, as well as those in Asia. Even Russia, potentially a European pariah state, has established deep levels of cooperation with Europe.
These are not mutually exclusive things. People focus too much on the history (which has its relevance in building context and awareness and must inform strategic direction), but getting caught up in that talk is a distraction.
IT SHOULD BE EASIER TO TRAVEL TO THE BENIN REPUBLIC THAN IT IS TO EUROPE.
I SHOULD NOT BE STRANDED IN THE IVORY COAST, FRANTICALLY FIND MY WAY TO THE AIRPORT TO EXCHANGE MONEY (BECAUSE CARDS DON'T WORK AND THERE'S NO OTHER WAY TO SPEND) AND GET LAUGHED AT FOR SHOWING CLEAN 1000 NAIRA NOTES THAT NOBODY IS WILLING TO EXCHANGE - DOLLARS, EUROS, OR POUNDS ONLY.
The distance from Murtala Mohammed Airport to Felix Houphouet-Boigny Airport is 980 km.
Pan Africanism (which is really just group economics) - just like feminism (basic idea of human equity that is already enshrined in international laws) continues to be misconstrued; these are basic, common-sense ideas at their core.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to engaging you on this. In the end, we NEED to move forward.
We cannot be destined to be relegated to penury forever
I decided to do Karaoke at Trib3 Lagos today! Let’s just say my ancestors will be very disappointed! It was a disaster, I was singing “Stamina” but did not have the Stamina to deliver the song!
