Israel is starving and torturing its underage detainees, perhaps to death.

The autopsy results of a 17-year-old Palestinian who died in Megiddo Prison about a week ago raise suspicions that he was starved and did not receive medical treatment. The autopsy, conducted at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute, reveals that the youth, Walid Ahmad, had almost no fat tissue or muscle mass and suffered from colitis and scabies.

He had no pre-existing conditions before his arrest in September and was in good physical shape. Nevertheless, on March 22, he suddenly collapsed in prison and died. Since the start of the war, 63 Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons. Lawyers have warned that an increasing number of detainees in Megiddo Prison are suffering from symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases.

This joins the strong evidence from Sde Teiman that Israel is now, as a matter of policy, torturing and starving detainees. A war crime of the highest magnitude. The differences between how Israel treats prisoners and how Hamas treats hostages are non-existent.
