Celebrating the good works of the M.G.T. & G.C.C.

Women and girls from the nine regions of the Nation of Islam (N.O.I.) filed into the Grand Ballroom of the Huntington Place convention center Feb. 21 to celebrate the successful 2025 accomplishments of their Muslim Girls Training and General Civilization Class (M.G.T. and G.C.C., the women of the N.O.I.) and to present awards.

The class, which usually meets every Saturday in their respective cities, gave the sisters an opportunity to communicate and bond in their sisterhood, in celebration of Saviours’ Day and Ramadan 2026.

The meeting began with prayer, followed by traditional Mothers of the Faithful presentations—an annual observance of the most prominent women who worked in the foundational development and evolution of the Nation of Islam.

All presentations were delivered by the M.G.T. and G.C.C. Vanguard, young women and girls who serve as the class’s front line. The Mothers of the Faithful honored included Mother Evelyn Muhammad, Mother Ola Muhammad and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan.

All of whom received a standing ovation from the audience and prompted remarks from Sister Khallada Farrakhan, daughter of Mother Khadijah and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
