We were delighted to welcome Aerodrome Primary @aerodromep for a visit to the Old Library and to Queens’ yesterday, for the first time since the pandemic! The students explored the history of the college and its collections, and had a think about university. 📖👑

New exhibition opening in Queens' Old Library! 📐
This showcase of mathematical books includes ground-breaking texts by Euclid, Babbage, Bernoulli, Laplace, and many others. The exhibition is open every afternoon this week, and we'll be posting a few highlights along the way...

📖Queens' Old Library will be open every afternoon Mon-Fri for the Cambridge Festival! 6th March - 31st March, 1.30-4.30pm, with a late opening on Thurs 23. Explore the beautiful medieval library and our current exhibition, 'Enslavement and Salvation'. All are welcome!
This charming picture of the ‘jumping mouse of Canada’ (woodland jumping mouse) by Thomas Davies, a British army officer and naturalist, is from 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑃ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑒 (vol. 1 (1798) [C.22.15]). The mouse can jump up to 5 yards! 🐁
