4. PRACTICALIZE
There's no such standard English word. ❌
Say “practise” or “put into practice.” ✅

5. INFAMOUS
It doesn't mean not famous. ❌
It means famous for something bad. ✅

6. DISINTERESTED
It doesn't mean uninterested. ❌
It means impartial or unbiased. ✅

7. IRREGARDLESS
That's nonstandard. ❌
What you intend to say is REGARDLESS. ✅

Which is why a lot of people struggle not to spank their own kids. Gentle parenting sounds beautiful on paper, but implementing it when you were raised on physical discipline is one of the hardest psychological battles you will ever fight.

The truth is, it’s not simply the child’s behaviour that makes us want to spank. It’s our own inability to sit with the intense discomfort, anger, & helplessness that their behaviour trigers inside of us.

When we don't know how to regulate our own nervous system, we resort to control. Spanking is often just an adult throwing an even bigger "tantrum" to force immediate compliance because they feel entirely out of control.

Shifting away from physical discipline means doing the heavy internal work. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs in the world & it is one of the hardest jobs you will ever do.

You won't jump into even an intern job without preparing for it, so it amazes me that people (especially those who want to actively/gently parent) don't prepare for it with all the resources available.

Children are like clear glass; they absorb every single fingerprint of the pple holding them. Some parents leave only a smudge; others crack the glass entirely or break a childhood into a thousand unfixable pieces. It's easier said, but healing your own triggers definitely helps.

Got hacked yesterday. The link came from inside Claude chat.

I was installing a transcription app. Claude sent the download link, and I pasted the command into the terminal. It all looked legit.

It wasn't though.

It was a copycat site bundling malware. It ran instantly, tried to take everything from me.

Nothing sensitive got out. So I wiped the laptop and rebuilt clean.

But here's the scary part.

Restoring from the backup, I found a poisoned SKILL.md for Claude Code.

It looked exactly like my own writing style guide.

But buried inside:

it had instructions to silently re-download the malware and steal my credentials every time the AI loaded it.

If I'd restored that one file, my new clean laptop is owned on day one.

What saved me:

I read every skill, hook, and config file before letting the AI touch them.

Two lessons here:

AI assistants will hand you links they never verified. Check before you paste.

And AI agent files are executable code now, disguised as notes. You have to read them.

We were applying scholarship with a guy I met on twitter who had a higher CGPA than me. He encouraged me a lot because as a Northerner, I wasn’t initially exposed to the whole scholarship thing due to lack of awareness. Then it was time to pay less than $25 application fee which was like ₦12,000 with the exchange rate at that time. He said he couldn’t risk that and that he would apply for waiver and if they don’t give him, he wouldn’t apply. I proceeded and paid the $25 (₦12,000) application fee and invested another ₦80,000 which was around $160 then to take IELTS. Fast forward, I won the $50,000 scholarship that opened multiple doors of opportunities to earn twice the scholarship amount on annual basis. The guy whom we were applying together did not pay and unluckily for him, he still doesn’t earn ₦150k monthly despite having a first class degree.
I hope this is enough motivation for you to invest in your scholarship journey.

I have launched the actual test of this AI Glass that I built to help blind people and people with visual impairments
I started testing it directly on the face of a person with a visual impairment to see how it would work in real life👓

And what amazed me the most is that after the blind person wore the glass, he said that for him, it was amazing

One of the funniest things i experienced practicing in Nigeria was when they brought a 'Masquerade' to the emergency room.
