A quick sub package 🧵. #RevPit
Query letter (sell & showcase your craft):
✔ Hookiest part first (one sentence)
✔ Brief character intro (who, where, & when)
✔ Main conflict (what)
✔ Stakes (why—don't keep your secrets)
✔ Pitch (comps, metadata)
✔ Bio (do you like cats?)
We're going to write a sample query letter together, right now. Let's say this is a middle-grade novel about a fox who falls in love with a fire monster (I'm just making stuff up, forgive me). Sound good? Let's dig in... 🧵

think of voice as a collander. like a literal kitchen collander. and how this MC is raised/brought up/her peer group/social dynamics/flaws/wounds/pains/joys/wishes etc 1/5
Hey #RevPit hopefuls. Who's all prepared for March 16th?

Synopsis tip for #AmQuerying writers - When introducing your character for the 1st time in a synopsis (not talking about the query letter) put their name in ALL CAPS. This is super helpful when reading.
