quantity concerns are in a limited way countered by the fact this is doubtless a distributed systems approach, they are considering and presuming there will be many chips in a functioning parallel modality
Morgan Stanley believes Google's "Frozen v2" chip, designed to run Gemini models more efficiently, will be using on-chip SRAM, eliminating the need for CoWoS packaging. Limited production beginning in 2027 and a broader ramp in 2028. According to industry checks, Marvell $MRVL is believed to be the development partner.
obviously most of what goes into a tpu comes from the gpu school. but they're willing to try things, clearly
as we all know the memory is usually a separate chip, connected in proximity to the gpu
with this tpu, the memory is on the same chip. this will create quantity concerns but eliminate a lot of latency concerns
Nuclear Turbines, a spin-off from BAE Systems, has raised GBP15 million (USD19.9 million) funding and emerged from stealth with a #nuclear reactor design combined with high-temperature turbine technology, which it says will lead to lower energy costs https://t.co/USxtDttF9t
Note that this is very experimental so run this at your own risk. If you don't like Windows tracking and don't want to fiddle around with such tools, Linux is that way.

Quick reminder the movie industry once sued sites for hosting DeCSS, software that decrypted DVD encryption. In response, programmers encoded it as a single prime number, asking, if software can be illegal, can a number be illegal too? It became an iconic anti-censorship protest.
A completed Portal fan remake is stuck in limbo because Valve stopped respond to devs
Portal: Alive & Kicking was developed with Valve’s approval and received access to Portal 2’s source code, a rare privilege for a fan project.
The team says it still can’t be released because Valve hasn’t responded to the final paperwork needed to publish it on Steam.
The developers submitted the required non-commercial license months ago and have waited ever since.
Because the project uses Valve’s proprietary source code and is covered by an NDA, they can’t upload it elsewhere while waiting.
