The darkness was upset. Why was it shown so poorly? It was just as good as the light. Darkness covers up the bad things making life just that much less painful. So why should darkness be condemned to so much pain and evil? The light is the one that starts fires and burns us all.
You can hear everyone’s cry’s for help, the only sound in a sea of silence. Their pain and loneliness. But despite the isolation, you feel happy. You feel guilty that this pain is giving you happiness, but you feel happy all the same. Maybe that makes you a bad person. Who knows?
“Congratulations! You’ve been granted one superpower of your choosing. What will it be? Flight, speed, strength?”
Julia thought over her decision.
She thought about last night, and the screaming that wouldn’t leave.
“I want the power to forget. Forget everything.”
And so it was.
Chaos Theory. The butterfly effect. You know the story. Cause and effect. What you might not know is that a butterfly can cause a lot more than a hurricane. It can even cause loved ones to die. And if a single flap can destroy a life, then what is a life really worth?
The world was on fire, so we turned to our last resort. The old gods that once ruled our land. We prayed for 7 days. When they finally came, they looked around with red in their eyes. We begged them to save us, to clean up our mess.
“Well,” they said.

One day the war of the subjects broke out. Math and science were on one side, with English and social studies on another. Mia thought she could stop it as she knew them each as a child. She was surprised when they turned on her, drowning her in paper so she couldn’t never breath.

If the universe is going to end then nothing is important.
Right?
The storm swirled around Alex, the wind going pushing right up against her. It torn her to pieces, but it was ok. She was used to it. So used to it she couldn’t even feel the wind anymore. So used to it she didn’t even notice when her heart was ripped from her body.
Everyone tried to be so happy all the time. Zach didn’t understand it. Did they not know the depth of sadness?The power of anger? Did they not feel better knowing others felt the pain of loneliness the same way he did? It was a question he would always wonder, but never solve.
Language is a tricky thing. You can discribe how you feel, but you can never actually say it. Has anyone ever said the word that shows the true, vulnerable feeling of loneliness? Maybe if we could we wouldn’t feel quite so lonely anymore.
