Having Fun Asking Questions. I have a double-first in general knowledge and commonsense. I love the sound of a good American V-8 engine. Old movie buff.
@DoubleODispatch If you don't know about Skorzeny, he was the man who led a German commando team to rescue Benito Mussolini from captivity in 1943. Probably the toughest man of WW2, surely he was the inspiration behind Richard Burton's character in Where Eagles Dare!

@DoubleODispatch@PaulRRed1 I have a relative who was brought back to life having been dead on an operating table for 15 minutes, and he has no recollection of an afterlife or out-of-body experience.
@DoubleODispatch@osvaldogre15651@greggwriter Starts at 40% on anything over ยฃ1 million. If the deceased is single and never married, then it starts at ยฃ500,000 at 40%. And half a million buys you a very modest property in the UK, especially the region I live in.

@DoubleODispatch Leslie sent his son, Ronald, to Tonbridge School where he was friends with David Tomlinson (latterly a star with Walt Disney). Ronald also became a film star, and wrote a book about Leslie's life and death, called In Search of My Father, to try to provide an explanation.
@DoubleODispatch There is still a lot of mystery over the shooting down of Leslie Howard's plane in WW2. Here's a useful link I've discovered, which might help to explain:
