“Waiting on God requires the willingness to bear uncertainty, to carry within oneself the unanswered question, lifting the heart to God about it whenever it intrudes upon one’s thoughts.” Elisabeth Elliot
“The question remains, is God paying attention? If so why doesn’t he do something? I say He has, He did, He is doing something and He will do something .” Elisabeth Elliot
“Whatever the enemy of our souls can do to install doubt about the real purpose of the Father of our souls, he will certainly try do.” Elisabeth Elliot
“The world is shaking with fear. "What will become of us? Where will it all end? What if Russia . ..? What if cancer ...? What if depression ..?" The love of God has wrapped us round from before the foundations of the world.

“Lord, deliver me from the urge to open my mouth when I should shut it. Give me the wisdom to keep silence where silence is wise. Remind me that not everything needs to be said, and that there are very few things that need to be said by me.” Elisabeth Elliot
