Dr Michelle Newcomb, from the SPHSW, was recently selected to showcase her research in one of the 'Women in Research' symposiums held by QUT. These events are always of a superb quality, with dynamic and brilliant speakers, and Michelle's presentation was no exception. @QUT
Dr Kishwen Ratmam from the Ministry of Health Malaysia visited the SPHSW with Professor Philip Baker. They met to discuss innovative methods in public health learning and teaching During his visit, Philip showed him our amazing teaching spaces and resources on campus at QUT @QUT
Last week the CAPHIA Teaching and Learning in Public Health conference was held. A cohort of our Public Health students attended a DFV workshop alongside the CAPHIA event. Dr Carroll reunited with past SPHSW colleagues to share ideas in teaching and learning excellence! @QUT

Yesterday, Nektarios Karanikas was presented with his Fellowship, as he is admitted into the Institute College of Fellows at the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS). Nektarios's work is crucial in advancing the health and social conditions of workers. @QUT
Prof Philip Baker is on a professional development opportunity at the Global Public Health program and The Asian Institute of Bioethics and Health Law (AIBHL), Yonsei University. Here, Prof Baker is providing a workshop on systematic reviews of public health topics! @QUT
