Day 25-26 of building a Mobile App Studio while working full time as a software engineer 👨‍💻

Mostly been grinding through the Google Health integration for one of my apps 🧠

I think I should be able to submit it to Google for approval this week

Today I worked on putting everything behind a feature flag

Probably should’ve done that from the start but it is what it is lol

Also shipped an update for one of our other apps 📱

Slowly getting closer to wrapping this integration up

@TomasCanova @_annakulina Just do all the checks and balances. If the app is subscription based mention it in the description. Custom terms of service, privacy policy and terms of service in both AppStore description, paywall, and I also put them in settings. But that’s about it i think

Been a little busy and missed a few posts, but still working

Mostly wrapping up Google Health integration for one of my apps 🧠

Got the components, filtering, and visualizations mostly working 📊

Also almost done with a redesign/update for one of our shipped apps

Work has been pretty busy too...

Missed a few posts, but still been working

Mostly continued Google Health integration for one of my apps 🧠

Started recording videos again 🎥

Also started a pretty big redesign for one of our shipped apps @_annakulina

I know people say not to keep touching apps after launch and to just move on to distribution

Fair

But I literally use this app myself

So I want it to be better

Maybe it won’t pay off immediately

But I’d rather keep making the products better while we figure out distribution

Yesterday I mostly finished integrating Google Health into one of my apps 🧠

Now working on the charts and visualizations for all the health data 📊

- added charts for Google Health data

- finished prototyping animations for a future app

- started planning how those prototypes will connect to the backend

- started planning some videos because I want to get back into posting again 🎥

Looking forward to wrapping up these final apps so we can quintuple down on distribution

Yesterday I kept digging into Google Health APIs 🧠

Started integrating it into one of my apps:

- created OAuth clients
- set up consent screen
- wired it into Supabase
- created the Edge Functions

Also realized I need to make a demo video for approval

slightly annoying but we move 🫡

Ended the day prototyping some animations for another app

Will probably share more on that later

Yesterday we officially released our third app on the App Store 🍏

Also:

- fixed a bug and submitted the update

- kept working on animation prototypes for a future app

- continued Google Health integration 🧠

- started building graphs for the health data 📊

3 apps live now

Yesterday was a lighter day since I had a buddy over, but still got some stuff done

Added Apple Sign In + Google Sign In to one of my apps so I can keep wiring up Google Health API integration

Also set up redirects + dev-only testing flows 🧠

Continued prototyping some animations for another app and got the first version working

Also started ideating an avatar/profile picture system for a future app

Not the craziest day, but progress is progress 🫡
