I say “hold your nose,” because everything you’ll find on the subject will probably be presented by a right winger.
It’s hard for me to describe but let’s just say, I ended up in a place where I found out Nelson Mandela is actually a really bad guy. I’m not saying you’ll end up there, but a redpill rabbit hole can broaden one’s perspective.

Hitler was a collectivist.
I wouldn’t call him right in modern terms.
Fascism is the right side of collectivist ideology. It shares a lot of core philosophy with socialism and Marxism.
There is no collectivist right wing today other than literal Nazis and Groypers.
If you can parcel the distinction between nationalism (collective focus and pride in a nation) and the focus and pride in the collective of Marxist societies, you’re seeing nuances I believe are immaterial.
Saying Hitler was a leftist is technically wrong but Hitler is closer to leftists today in terms of foundational philosophy than he is to conservatives of today (the right) who are liberal and capitalists in ideological terms.
