@ddawk69@tllashley@HoopsVGM If i had to guess, he's anti-emulator. If that's the case then he prob didn't spend the $100 for a used cartridge. Then around $100 for a gba
@AnthroRez@glitcheris@johniibo Got them from ebay? I'm saying the fact that you get official license games for only $20 with 0 risk of them being damaged or fake is a huge W. Hell, some fake gba games go for $15, and they don't work.
@goonerlicious@glitcheris@johniibo Okay, let me rephrase it. Official emulators tied to Official Nintendo servers > unofficial emulators not tied to Official Nintendo servers. Official is the best way to play any games. People were also willing to drip $60 for the gen4-7 games to come in. Im happy it's only $20
@AnthroRez@glitcheris@johniibo My switch 2 pre-order was $500. my platinum was $60, but i hunted ebay for 3 weeks to get that deal, averaghe is about $90. my white was $70, but i also hunted that. Average for that is about $80. then my white 2 was $130. so yeah. just about $300.
@AnthroRez@glitcheris@johniibo average $100 for fr and lf. average $80 for gen 3. and average $170 for emerald. Plus $80 for gba. $80 for ds. $200 for 3ds. then another $300 for gen 4 and 5. This is a W to play it on modern hardware, officially, for $20. As someone who did this, its not cheap to play old games
@klopalb@NintendoES People openly were willing to pay $60 for these games lmao
$20 is perfectly fine, especially the only other way is paying a guy $100 for the only other official way of playing the games.
@HeartofErased@reydegonnet That's also not including the fact you need to buy gen 4, and 5 to transfer the gen 3 games to home. That alone is another $200, and hope you don't get a fake. AND you need a ds, and 3ds. This is a huge W. The only bad thing is no online, which i can deal with.
@HeartofErased@reydegonnet I dont think people realize that the only other official way to play these games is to spend at minimum $70 off ebay, average $100. And that's not including getting a gba to begin with, with is another $80-$120. Then you also semi-risk the games you bought being fake.
Serebii Note: It has been confirmed that the successor to the Nintendo Switch will be officially announced before the end of March 2025 https://t.co/gDbXkHSvkT
