These next 14-15 months, Spurs are going to have high end swings in the next two drafts:
Spurs 1st in 24
Spurs 1st in 25
Hawks 1st in 25
Raptors 1st in 24 or 25 ( top 6 protected)
Bulls 1st in 25 ( top 10 protected)
They just need two studs or home runs out of this preferably with + size, shooting, and playmaking chops to scale and tap into from secondary to primary.
Haven’t been this excited in a while as a Spurs fan looking ahead with a top 10 player and young king already in tow at the age of 20.
Then factor in Devin rising as a 3 level scorer putting more pressure on the paint and becoming a significant factor as he was an effective modern PG/primary this season.
Then let’s factor in Jeremy’s versatile defensive presence and Swiss Army knife versatility with known areas he needs to grow in and is currently improving in ( Shooting and decision making/play making — even if he’s not a labeled PG he’s still responsible to push the pace at times and still responsible to make plays with the ball in the half court when the action turns to him in secondary opportunities).
Spurs are set up beautifully if you just have a little bit of patience.
