The Blackstone executive killed in Monday's shooting was Wesley LePatner, who was tapped as the CEO of BREIT just last year, Bloomberg reports.

She was a rising star in a crown jewel of a business, and was caught in the crossfire of an active shooter trying to reach the NFL, which was in the same building.
