I once had the chance to meet the legendary South Korean soccer juggling world record holder, Hee Yong Woo (Mr. Woo). The guy could literally juggle a soccer ball on his head for over 5 hours straight.
Naturally, I was curious. I turned to his translator and asked, "Is he also a great soccer player?"
The translator didn't even blink. He just looked at me and said: "No, he's terrible."
It was a hilarious reality check.
It turns out, being a world-class entertainer who can manipulate a ball like a magician doesn't automatically mean you can read a tactical 11v11 match! ⚽️😂

Coaches out here posting tactics board videos and clips from their teams games playing out from the back etc but not posting to say we actually lost this game because playing out the back didn’t actually work and we couldn’t beat the press or we kept losing the ball 🙄

If I commit to a pre season friendly I’m fulfilling that fixture no matter what happens. There is no chance my players aren’t making it. We would never pull out.

Even if I had to play the game with 11 players and my Dad was one of them then thats what would be happening.

Some Tips for the Players..

• Stop asking “What’s the post code” , find it!

• Answer the availability poll as soon as you read it

• Plan your journey in advance so you know you’ll be on time

• Turn up

• Stop chasing levels, let the levels chase you ⚽️
