@LATAMAirlinesUS I see on your website you offer kosher meals on 3.5+ hour flights. Could you please let me know which rabbinical kosher supervision oversees these meals? Thank you!
@LATAMAirlinesUS This one is from American Airlines. Once when I called them to ask about kosher meal, the rep said they couldn't determine who the kosher supervision was but informed me the name of the caterer who provides the meals, Borenstein. With that info, I was able to look into it myself.
@LATAMAirlinesUS Here's another example from United. That circle on the top left with Hebrew letters is another kosher certifying agency called Volove. I've contacted United in the past and they have been able to tell me both the this and the name of the company making the meals, Regal Meal.
@JuniperSTEM@infolibnews 6. In ancient times, there was such a practice to carve off pieces of a living animal to cook and eat. This was before preservation methods such as salting or smoking were well known.
7. Courts of law are needed to ensure the other six are followed.
@LATAMAirlinesUS Thank you. Are you able to share who the suppliers are? There are various standards of kosher, so kosher certified doesn't mean much without more info. We have tickets for our large family and it is important to us to know whether we will be able to consume the meals or not.
The Jews defeated Haman in ancient Persia on Purim. The current war in Iran began on Shabbat Zachor and continued through Purim. As we head into Passover, is any of this a coincidence? New from me @Chabad https://t.co/tavGrPCZBB
@kilovh The whole thing was meh. Almost every question I had to force an answer that I don’t really think captured my true belief or thought (if any) on the question.
@jewonahill@MendelSuper@OUKosher@OrthodoxUnion The same often occurs with restaurants that might have kosher and non kosher locations. Many hashgachas will heavily push and in some instances require the owner to use a different name, design, etc for the kosher location 2/2
@jewonahill@MendelSuper@OUKosher@OrthodoxUnion There are many instances when a hashgacha mixes in concerning packaging design. E.g. when a product exists that is sometimes certified kosher and sometimes not, many hashgachas influence the company to change the packaging enough that they appear to be different products 1/2
