@ragyattha metaphorically they are all subjecting their projected selves into a simulated world to live more for the moment, and to grow past and heal together with trauma bonding, not a lot of room for their past selves, and they commit to the bit and be their new selves in the circus.

@AtlasSinged @KatyCreep7 I feel it's a visual representation of an ego death, they completely close off and are more animalistic, and are covered in eyes. They no longer express themselves freely as their projected selves, and become defensive and only observe, and prefer not to be seen.

@DarkSalxm Strong pilot for the creator to spring board from, leaves the door open for more if they do. I think it's a fun light conclusion to a quick project, giving the fandom an open ended sandbox to play in with how things ended up.

@KatyCreep7 It's left to interpretation, them being "copies" is a simulated version of themselves there. So the implication being he still feels guilty and unworthy and is choosing to stick with being abstracted, it's a self sabotage loop he's growing past I'm sure.
