A lot of people are against teams coached by a parent. I completely understand your reasoning. You're afraid of favoritism, coaching their kid differently than the rest, etc. I used to be 100% against it too. But not anymore...
Some of the best coaches we have are parents with kids on the team. There is nothing better than a Dad who has his mind in the right place. He's not just there for his kid. He's there for the team, no matter what. If his kid stinks or acts out, he sits. They don't coach just so their kid can be in the lineup. They coach so the players learn the game the right way & they can teach life with baseball as the vehicle. Their kid is just another player on the team.
And he's "coach" at practice, not "Dad." 👊🏻
